To create a sense of connection between today’s students and life here in Great Britain during World War Two, throughout this 75th Anniversary of D-Day, X Platoon have created a fully immersive, residential experience enabling young people to truly engage with history.
We are inviting schools and other centres of learning to bring their students to X Platoon for a 3 Day and 2 Night Residential WW2 Experience. Students will become Evacuees and set off from home tagged with a label. Upon reaching our remote countryside base they will be given tasks and responsibilities befitting of children during WW2. They will learn the necessary and invaluable skills required to survive, and succeed, using very limited resources. |

The ultimate objective of our D-Day Experience is to foster in our children the importance of self reliance, independence, ambition, motivation and resilience. At the heart of our experience X Platoon will work toward building up your children's confidence, allowing them to take ownership of their lives and have more responsibility for their thoughts, actions and emotions. Our schedule has been designed to reawaken independence within our children with the aim of helping them - through self reliance - to realise their ability in overcoming any problem, hurdle, set back or disappointment that life will present to them.

X Platoon can cater towards a range of groups from Year Five through to Year Eleven. We have experience of working with children who have special needs and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our's is an inspirational, fully immersive and inclusive experience for children and young people allowing them to achieve and develop confidence through hands on learning in a remote countryside setting.
X Platoon will deliver the most realistic and proven training that is applied during genuine Elite and Special Forces operations around the world. To that end attendees should be fully prepared to experience and then participate in this unique opportunity and to completely immerse themselves in our residential programme.
